They’re gonna touch the sky — but not before getting hassled at the airport like everyone else. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s arrival at JFK Airport set off a security scare Tuesday morning when a starstruck staffer helped the pair bypass a checkpoint.
The power couple known as Kimye had returned from Brazil, passed through customs and were transferring to a flight bound for Los Angeles when an American Airlines employee helped them slip by a screening area, a TSA spokesman said.

The TSA pulled the Hollywood couple from their plane to put them through the security check they missed when an American Airlines employee reportedly helped them rush to a connecting flight.
“An airline employee escorted the two travelers through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight,” the spokesman said.
“In doing so, the airline employee violated security protocols by permitting the travelers to bypass the TSA security checkpoint.” Kim K. and her baby daddy made it on their connecting flight, but a TSA employee forced them to disembark.

West and Kardashian are driven from LAX later Tuesday.
“TSA officials learned of the violation and conducted a private screening of the two passengers in the area of the jetway. The passengers were cleared to board their flight,” the TSA spokesman said.
The plane was delayed for roughly an hour while the superstar socialite and hip-hop big-shot endured the inconveniences familiar to any frequent flier.
Still, the TSA spokesman said the pair were not to blame for the security breach, which was first reported by the gossip site TMZ.com..
The parents-to-be were spotted checking out Carnival celebration from a hotel balcony in Rio De Janeiro Sunday.
