Sued: Mary J Blige has been hit with a $145,000 lawsuit for cancelling a Texas concert

Mary J. Blige is being sued for allegedly cancelling a concert in Dallas, Texas, so that she could perform with the Rolling Stones in New York.

The No Drama singer and her production company are being sued by Vision Entertainment Worldwide (VEW) after she pulled-out of the gig on December 9, 2012.
The 42-year-old star was reportedly paid a deposit of $145,000 to perform but cancelled the concert a few days before it was scheduled to take place after she accepted the offer to perform with Mick Jagger and his band at the Barclays Center, reports TMZ.

VEW is seeking $145,000 in damages from the performer who has run into other money problems in recent times.
The singer was hit with a $3.4million tax bill last month after being accused of avoiding her US federal taxes for three consecutive years from 2009.

In addition to her federal taxes, Mary also reportedly owes the State of New Jersey over $900,000 in back taxes. Mary's money woes do not end there, as she was sued earlier this year for allegedly defaulting on a $500,000 bank loan, which she took out between 2005 and June 2012.

The singer confessed recently that she had not taken the best financial advice but is trying to fix the problem.  'The problem isthat I didn't have the right people in the right places doing the right things.

'This should have never been allowed to happen but it did and now we are fixing it,' she said.

LIL WAYNE DENIES ANY DISRESPECT AFTER TRAMPLING AMERICAN FLAG IN NEW VIDEO

'I didn't step on the flag on purpose!' Lil Wayne denies any disrespect after trampling American flag in new video

Lil Wayne has denied intentionally disrespecting the American flag after appearing to trample it in his new music video.

The often controversial rapper spoke out as the backlash grew following his apparent attack on the national symbol. 'I didn't step on the flag on purpose!' he tweeted. 'It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform.'

But it remains to be seen if Wayne's denial will calm the angry response to the video.
Twitter users have vented their frustration at the 30-year-old's unpatriotic attitude, branding him 'disgusting' and a 'scumbag'.
Wayne returned to his old 'stomping' grounds of Hollygrove, New Orleans to shoot the video for 'God Bless Amerika', a single off his album.

Leaked cell phone footage captured the four-time Grammy winner clutching an old-fashioned microphone before a large hanging flag on Saturday.

BRIDE-T-BE ORGANISED DREAM WEDDING IN JUST 10 DAYS AFTER HER BOYFRIEND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PANCREATIC CANCER AND GIVEN JUST MONTHS TO LIVE

Chris Clark, 41, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October last year

  • Told there was nothing doctors could do and that he had just 6 months left.  Within minutes of diagnosis, he proposed to his girlfriend Charlotte, 30.

  • She had already made an online scrapbook of her dream wedding and thanks to family and friends they enjoyed a dream rural wedding.  Chris has defied doctors predictions and is still feeling well 8 months later

  • A bride-to-be has organised the wedding of her dreams in just 10 days after her terminally-ill husband proposed to her.

Cancer sufferer Chris Clark, 41, proposed to his girlfriend Charlotte within minutes of finding out his condition was terminal.
With the help of family and friends, it took just 10 days to organise the wedding they had dreamed about.

Last October Charlotte organised a last minute wedding to terminally-ill boyfriend Chris Clark. He proposed within minutes of being diagnosed with a terminal cancer

Charlotte and Chris Clark married just 10 days after he was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer last year. He proposed within minutes of being diagnosed

Charlotte, 30, had made an online scrapbook of her dream wedding months before Chris's illness, which helped her with a speedy wedding turnaround.

Chris was told he may only have months to live by medics at Warwick Hospital last September after being diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer that had spread to the stomach.

He had started suffering pains in his side while on holiday which grew in intensity, and was also feeling tired and had lost his appetite.

After a series of tests, Chris, a photographer, was diagnosed with secondary cancer in July 2012.

Charlotte and Chris were married in October October 2012 at St Gregory's Church in Offchurch, Warwickshire. before getting married she had already made a scrapbook of her perfect wedding

Charlotte said that their engagement was always going to happen, it was only a question of when.

Charlotte said that their engagement was always going to happen, it was only a question of when. After his proposal, Chris broached the idea of a quick register office ceremony, but Charlotte wanted to have her dream rural church wedding

The couple, from Offchurch near Leamington, Warwickshire, found out it was terminal in September and were told nothing more could be done to treat the tumour.

Chris, 41, said: 'I already knew I wanted to be married to Charlotte so when they said it was non-curable I knew what I was going to do.

'When I was told the news it was like an explosion, I felt deaf and a bit disorientated. I just got up and walked out as they said I've got to have more tests.'

Chris and Charlotte were sitting in a hospital waiting room five minutes later, in a state of shock, when he turned to her and popped the question. Then just minutes after, he was in a hospital bed undergoing another round of gruelling tests.

Charlotte said the big day was the wedding she had always dreamed of. The couple had been together for six years before they wed but always knew they would eventually tie the knot

Family and friends were informed of his prognosis before the couple told them their good news. 'Our engagement was always going to happen, it was only a question of when,' added Charlotte, a social worker who met Chris six years ago at a wedding.

After his proposal, Chris broached the idea of having a quick register office ceremony.
But it was not quite what she was hoping for, because for the six months before Chris became ill Charlotte had been planning her dream of a rural church wedding.

Generous friends, family and local businesses rallied round to make the couple's magical wedding come true in just over a week.

Friends, family and local businesses rallied round to make the couple's magical wedding come true. Despite having a week's notice to be at the event, some 300 people shared the couple's big day at a neighbouring farm. She had compiled an online scrapbook with her wedding wish-list, detailing everything she wanted from the venue and who would be bridesmaids to the design of her wedding dress.

Charlotte says, 'The whole day was just like the wedding I had dreamed of. We have been together for six years, and have always known we would get married, but had been taking our time.

'Even though Chris hadn't asked me yet I would save links and pictures in a folder on my tablet that I would want in my future wedding.

'When we decided to do a wedding in ten days the preparation I had done was a God-send, and made things lots easier.

'We were lucky as loads of family and friends have businesses that are involved in weddings in someway. 'Chris's brother has a marquee business, we have a friend who is a photographer and another who is a florist. The wedding more or less planned itself!'

'The whole day was just how I had dreamed.'

Charlotte said they count their blessings every day. She said: 'We keep thinking it could be ten times worse. Chris is feeling pretty good at the moment so we're making the most of that. He's my inspiration'

After their wedding, Chris - a freelance photographer who once served in the Navy - started seven bouts of chemotherapy.

The rare cancer he suffers from is a hereditary and he did not know about the risk because he was adopted. However, he has already defied the statistics as doctors said the average life expectancy from the point of diagnosis was six months.

Despite his ongoing treatment Chris is accompanying Charlotte on training runs.

Charlotte said:'"We are all hoping and praying the cancer hasn't grown. We're trying to live a normal life and we are very pragmatic about the future. 'We count our blessings every day. On June 30, Charlotte will join more than 4,000 women taking part in Race for Life 5km or 10km courses to raise more than £400,000 for Cancer Research UK's life-saving research projects.

Chris said: 'I'm incredibly proud of Charlotte for what she's doing because she could so easily sit back because she's so busy with work and worrying about me. It shows the woman that she is to me'

A backpack in the van had a marijuana grinder and trace amounts of marijuana, police said.

ONE DIRECTION'S ZAYN MALIK AND LOUIS TOMLINSON SPOTTED SMOKING ROLL-UP CIGARETTES

One Direction spark concern among fans as Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are spotted smoking roll-up cigarettes.

One Direction have sparked concern among fans after they were pictured smoking roll-up cigarettes.

Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were seen puffing away as they enjoyed a boat ride during a trip to Miami earlier this week.
And while there is no evidence the boys were dabbling in anything illegal, fans speculated that Zayn and Louis were perhaps smoking a cannabis joint.

Hundreds of fans of the boyband commented on the images, published widely on U.S. websites, with many expressing anxiety.

One wrote: 'I hope it's a rumour about you and Zayn smoking weed. I respect you guys so much, but it tears me down.'  Another added: 'My reaction to Zayn and Louis apparently “Smoking Pot” #Disappointed #Upset #SayNoToDrugs.'

While Louis and Zayn were the only two pictured smoking the cigarettes, bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne were also seen on the deck of the boat.

A spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline. There is no evidence that the band were in fact smoking drugs.

Last summer Zayn quit Twitter after he was targeted by people accusing him of smoking cannabis.

Earlier this year, former Boyzone singer Shane Lynch warned One Direction about the downsides of being famous, and told them to stay away from drugs.

One Direction are currently in the middle of the North American leg of their Take Me Home tour, and will be performing in Miami on Friday night.

Prior to their Sunrise, Florida gig on Thursday night, One Direction were seen at a Miami studio where they shot a short film ahead of the release of their fragrance.
